Character Education

Character Education

At Kanapaha Middle School, we believe in educating the whole child and see the value in developing positive and nurturing relationships with our students.  Not only does character education help instill vital skills, but it enables faculty and staff the opportunity to connect with students on a deeper level.   We have chosen to make our character education program reflect traits that correspond with growth mindset and the principles of Character Counts.  Every month, the students who best reflect these traits will be chosen by their respective teachers and honored alongside students of the month.

The character education concepts that will be taught and the months that they are focused on are as follows:

August - Character

September - Responsibility

October - Cooperation

November - Courage

December - Compassion

January - Respect

February - Excellence

March - Trustworthiness

April - Perseverance

May - Mindset/Optimism
