Coronavirus Prevention

Parents and Students: It is important that everyone use good hand washing/hygiene in schools, at home, and everywhere you go. Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or Florida Department of Health to get the latest information as it becomes available. In addition, the School District will continue to monitor the situation in collaboration with the Health Department.

In the meantime, we ask that families follow these practices set forth in the 2.28.20 letter from SBAC re Coronavirus:

  • Keep students or other family members home if they are sick. Those with flu-like symptoms should remain home until at least 24 hours after symptoms have ended, including fever.
  • Wash hands regularly. Everyone should wash their hands regularly with soap and water, especially after coughing and sneezing. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers may also be used.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes, and if a tissue is not available, cough into your elbow....NOT your hand.
  • Avoid sharing cups, utensils, and other such items.

We want all our Panthers and their families to stay healthy and happy, and that begins with you!
