The Panthers are roaring with pride as they celebrate an impressive array of achievements this year. First and foremost, the school continues to excel academically, boasting the highest graduation rate in the District once again, which is a testament to the commitment of student success by NHS teachers and staff, the Panther families, our entire Newberry community, and (of course) the students themselves.

Our Academy of Criminal Justice program has secured the top spot at the North Florida Criminal Justice Alliance Competition in Orlando again this year, showcasing the dedication and hard work of both students and faculty. Additionally, our FFA Chapter placed 4th in the Florida State Meat Evaluation Preliminary CDE at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa this weekend and will be participating in the State Competition at the University of Florida in April, 2025.

In athletics, the Panthers have earned remarkable achievements as well. During the fall season, our football team became the Class 2A District 3 Champions and Regional Runner-up, and the varsity volleyball team competed in District playoffs. Success continues into winter as our competition cheerleading squad is competing at the UCA Nationals in Orlando this weekend, and our girls' weightlifting team recently competed at Regionals with one competitor earning a top 16 spot to compete in the State Meet next weekend in Lakeland. The boys' soccer team claimed the title of Class 2A District 3 Champions, while the girls’ soccer team also triumphed as Class 2A District 3 Runner-up. Our boys' basketball team impressively remains undefeated at 23-0, and has joined the ranks of champions by becoming the Class 3A District 3 Champs. The girls’ basketball team has matched that success as Class 3A District 3 Champions as well. All of our soccer and basketball teams are continuing their championship journeys this week in Regional playoffs, further solidifying Newberry High School's reputation as a powerhouse in both academics and sports. With the spring sports season getting ready to begin, we can't wait to celebrate all their successes too!
