It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Thursday, February 4th:
The High Springs Police Department will be conducting training activities on and around the Newberry High School campus today and tomorrow from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm. You may notice a larger-than-normal presence of police officers and vehicles around our campus due to these planned activities. We ask that you remain off our campus while these training activities are being conducted.
The Report Cards for the first semester will be available in Skyward next Tuesday (February 9th). If you need assistance with viewing the Report Card in Skyward, or if you are unable to print a copy of the Report Card, please contact the NHS Guidance Office.
The FCA will hold their meeting tomorrow before school at 8:10 am in Mrs. Harris’ room. If you are interested in participating, make sure to stop by!
SENIORS: We need your baby picture for the Baby Panther pages in the Yearbook. You can submit the picture either by emailing the photo to Ms. Steele ( or you can bring it to the Media Center, where it will be scanned and then immediately returned. There is no charge to include your baby picture in the Yearbook so don't miss out! Pictures must be submitted no later than February 26th.
SENIORS: The Santa Fe Foundation is accepting scholarships NOW! There is over $1.8 million available to give away to deserving eligible students. The deadline to submit your application for priority review is February 15, 2021. Don't wait to submit your application! Speak to your NHS Guidance Counselor if you have any questions or need assistance.
GIRLS’ SOCCER: The girls’ team will play a district matchup against PK Yonge School at Keystone Heights High School (900 Orchid Avenue, Keystone Heights, FL) tonight beginning at 5:00 pm. Tickets are only available online at

Today’s reminder:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. As the weather gets cooler, please remember that you are not permitted to wear pajama pants or bring blankets to school. Do not wear hats or hoodies in the buildings. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something ( Everyone believes in your success but “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right --Henry Ford” BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
