It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, March 17th:
Please come out to enjoy some amazing food in support of our Academy of Criminal Justice program! The Crave Food Truck will be at the New2You Parking Lot from 5:00 pm. until 8:00 pm on Friday, March 19th, serving up some delicious meals. A portion of all the sales that night will be donated to our Criminal Justice Academy!
Our NHS Cheerleaders are going to NATIONALS! They are "hopping" to earn some $$ and make your Easter easier. They are also accepting donations of unneeded plastic Easter eggs or, of course, cash. Payments for eggs can be made through the team Venmo @newberryhighcheer or checks to Newberry High School Cheerleading. The deadline for orders is March 30th so don't miss out!
The F.C.A. will hold its meeting this Friday, March 19th, before school in Mrs. Harris’ room beginning at 8:10 am. Everyone is welcome to attend, so please stop by.
There will be a ServSafe Training in Chef’s room after school tomorrow beginning at 3:00 pm. Don’t be late!
The Chorus Club will meet with Mr. Decimus in Lab 1 this Friday, March 19th, before school at 8:15 am.
BASEBALL: The Varsity team will play AT HOME tonight against Wildwood High School beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets for these games are only available online at The JV and Varsity teams will travel to Chiefland High School on Friday, March 19th, to take on the Indians beginning at 4:30 pm. Tickets for these away games are available for sale at the gate on the day of the games.
SOFTBALL: The softball team will play AT HOME against St. Francis Academy on Thursday, March 18th, beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets for this game are only available online at
BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ TRACK: The boys’ and girls’ track team will compete in the County Championships this Thursday, March 18th, at Santa Fe High School beginning at 9::00 pm. Good luck Panthers!
BOYS’ LACROSSE: The boys’ lacrosse team will play AT HOME against Gainesville High School tonight beginning at 6:00 pm. Tickets for this game are only available online at
Today’s reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be none in the buildings. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something ( Everyone believes in your success but “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right --Henry Ford” BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
