It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Friday, April 9th:
The 9th grade students who attend school in person at NHS will take the FSA ELA Reading test on Tuesday, April 13th. The 10th grade students who attend school in person at NHS will take the FSA ELA Reading test on Wednesday, April 14th. Please make sure students are on time and prepared to do their best!
Newberry High School yearbooks are still on sale for the 2020-2021 school year! The yearbook cost is $65.00 and a $5.00 deposit is required to reserve your yearbook. Please see Ms. Steele in the Media Center or contact her by email ( for more details or to place your deposit!
Newberry High School Prom 2021 will take place this year at the beautiful Granville Plantation on Friday, May 7th. Tickets are now on sale for $55.00 per ticket and can be purchased from Mrs. Kathi Thomas in the Media Center. Ticket prices will increase to $65.00 on April 18th. To purchase tickets you must be off the debt list, so please make sure all debts are paid in full. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
BASEBALL: The Varsity team will play AT HOME tonight against Dunnellon High School beginning at 7:00 pm. Tickets for this game are only available online at
TENNIS: The girls’ tennis team will compete in the district playoffs in Ocala on Monday, April 12th, at 9:00 am.
Today’s reminder:
Phones and Headphones: These must be off and out of sight, both in class and during class changes. Cell phones and headphones are only permitted to be in use before and after school, and during lunch periods.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something ( Everyone believes in your success but “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right --Henry Ford” BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
