Our Newberry baseball team will play in the State Semi-finals playoff game at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 19th. A win means they will play for the Class 1A State Championship at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 20th.

SIDELINE CHEER: The sideline cheer squad will be holding tryouts in the NHS gym on May 26th (changed date). Open Gym, in order to work on skills, will be conducted on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 20th. THERE WILL BE NO OPEN GYM TONIGHT. Clinics to prepare for tryouts will be on May 22nd, May 24th, and May 25th. Interested participants must either have a current physical on file with NHS or bring one with them to the open gym night.

Today’s reminder:
Tardies: Whether you attend school through the digital academy or as a brick and mortar student, tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.

Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). Everyone believes in your success but “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right --Henry Ford” BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
