May 27, 2021 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Thursday, May 27th:

There are only 13 more school days…...keep going Panthers!

The F.C.A. will hold its meeting tomorrow morning before school at 8:10 am in Mrs. Harris’ room. Everyone is welcome!

The remaining EOC Testing schedule for this week is as follows:
Friday, May 28th: Students who attend school in person will take the US History EOC

SENIORS: Don’t forget all the fantastic activities we have planned for the remainder of Senior Week!
Friday: We want you to wear your Panther colors one last time! Let’s see your school pride!

BOYS’ BASKETBALL: The boys’ basketball team will be holding Open Gym nights on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Anyone interested in playing boys basketball next year must attend an Open Gym to get information about our summer league. Please see Coach Pat Green if you have any questions.

BASEBALL: Make sure to come out to the NHS football field tonight at 7:00 pm to celebrate our Varsity baseball team and their achievement of becoming the Class 1A State Champions. There will be free hamburgers/hot dogs for everyone and the concession stand will be open selling drinks and goodies.

Today’s reminder:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Do not wear hats or hoodies in the buildings. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.

Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). Everyone believes in your success but “whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right --Henry Ford” BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
