October 6, 2021 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, October 6th:
🚫 Parents and Students, please remember that there is no school scheduled this Friday (October 8th) due to the UF Homecoming festivities. Enjoy your long weekend!
🩺 Alachua County Public School students can once again receive a free nasal spray vaccine for the flu at school during the school day. Information was sent home with students yesterday, and an email will be sent home tonight with additional information. Additionally, all information and forms are available at the NHS Front Office or at www.sbac.edu/flumist.
📅 Students, mark your calendars! October 13th is the last day of the 1st nine weeks of school. Make sure to finish your class and homework assignments and get them turned in so they can be graded.
📚 Students, you should receive an email to your school email address from info@aclib.us. The email will include your Student Library Card barcode and PIN information. You can use that barcode information online or at any library branch to borrow three books, check out eBooks and eMagazines and use the library’s online databases for tutoring, research, practice tests, and more. Most library databases are available 24/7 from any computer so make sure to use this valuable resource!
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be none in the buildings. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). Success is best when it is shared BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
