It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! ๐Ÿพ
Here are the announcements for Monday, November 8th:
๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Please remember there is no school this Thursday (November 11th) in observance of Veteran’s Day.
๐Ÿ‘‘๐ŸˆHomecoming Week is over and we want to thank everyone for their hard work and participation. We want to recognize some individuals who went all out and did a great job: Brock Haight and Emma Meade did an awesome job showing their school spirit, and we can’t forget Mrs. Walker in the NHS Front Office. Thank you all for participating in Homecoming and making some great memories!
๐Ÿ’ฏ Five more Positive Referrals were handed out today! Thank you for being great role models for our Panthers!!
๐Ÿญ Tomorrow is the Honor Roll Candy Social during Lunch A and Lunch B. Slips will be passed out in 1st period tomorrow to any student who has a minimum of a 3.0 unweighted GPA (noncumulative), no unexcused absences, and no referrals. Congratulations to all our amazing Honor Roll students!
๐Ÿ’ป The representative from High School High Tech will be back on the NHS Campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B. Any student interested in participating should stop by the East TA to find out more.
๐Ÿšฉ The Newberry Winter Guard will be hosting auditions starting tomorrow from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm in the NHS Band Room. No experience is required. Please see Mr. DeRemer or any band student for more information on how to join.
๐Ÿฆƒ Our annual food drive for Thanksgiving will continue through next week and we need your help!. Our goal is to feed 30 NHS families this year and we need your help! SGA has distributed collection boxes to every 1st period teacher with a list of items needed to fill the box. Each time your class fills a box, your teacher will get a leaf added to the leaderboard in the hallway by the NHS Front Office. The 1st period that collects the most boxes will win a gourmet breakfast!
๐Ÿ‘‘The Pageant for Miss NHS and Junior Miss NHS will be held on December 3rd in the NHS Auditorium. If you are interested in participating, please see Mrs. Kathi Thomas in the NHS Media Center to get your application.
๐Ÿ˜ท Signed Parental Mask Opt-Out forms are being accepted in the NHS Front Office. Please call the NHS Front Office if you have any questions.
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts everyday for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). Success is best when it is shared BUT most importantly, “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
