It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, September 14th:
Don’t forget tomorrow is picture day! Pictures of 9th through 11th grade students will be taken during their English class. Seniors who have not yet had their senior pictures done can have them taken in the auditorium after school.
Parking is now being enforced on the NHS campus. You must have a decal to park on campus. Only Seniors are to park in the Senior Parking Lot and all others must park in the gated parking lot. If you are parked illegally, you will be ticketed.
Progress Reports will be available in Skyward tomorrow. If you are unable to view the Progress Report in Skyward at that time, please contact the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
The National Honor Society will meet tomorrow before school at 8:00 am in Ms. Schentrup’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Air Force will be on the NHS campus tomorrow during both Lunch A and Lunch B. If you are interested in serving in the US military after graduation, make sure to stop by and get additional information.
The Student Body SGA will have a meeting on Friday (September 16th) before school at 8:00 am in Mr. Marlowe’s classroom.
Juniors, your homecoming shirts are still available to pre-order. The cost is $10.00 and you must have exact change or pay with a check. Please see Dr. Bolejack before school, after school or during Lunch A/B to order yours. The last day to order shirts is next Tuesday (September 20th)!
Conditioning for girls’ soccer will be after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning next Tuesday (September 21st) from 3:30 pm until 4:30 pm at the NHS Track. Make sure to bring tennis shoes and a workout mat or towel. Anyone interested in participating in the girls’ soccer team this year is welcome.
Class of 2024! The Herff Jones representative will be back on the NHS campus on Monday (September 20th) during Lunch A and Lunch B to take your orders for class rings. Please make sure to have all your paperwork complete and ready to turn in with any required deposit.

Panthers please remember ALL head coverings including hats, hoodies, and earphones/headphones/airpods are not allowed to be worn on campus.

Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day throughout the summer for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something ( “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
