September 22, 2022 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Thursday, September 22nd:
Don’t forget, the NHS Open House is night beginning at 6:30 pm! Upon your arrival at NHS for the Open House please go directly to your child's first period class. Once there, you will receive your child's class schedule and a map of the school so that you can follow your student's daily schedule. We look forward to seeing you!
SGA will host run-off elections for Homecoming Court tomorrow in the East TA during Lunch A and Lunch B.
The Student Body SGA will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Mr. Marlowe’s classroom.
Representatives from High School High Tech will be on the NHS Campus on Tuesday (September 27th) during Lunch A and Lunch B. Make sure to stop by and get some information about this fantastic program!
Students, please remember that if you plan to participate in any sport or conditioning activities you must have a current consent form and physical form on file with NHS. If you have any questions, please see Coach Roundtree or speak with someone in the NHS Front Office.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day throughout the summer for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
