January 10, 2023 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Tuesday, January 10th:
TOMORROW is the last day of the first semester. Please make sure you turn in any missing assignments and make up any missing tests for your classes. The grading window will remain open to accept late assignments until January 18th. Finish strong Panthers!
Panthers, schedules for the 2nd semester will be distributed on Thursday (January 12th). Make sure to look for your name on the published lists when you get to campus on Thursday morning and your 1st period teacher listed will have your new schedules.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps will be on the NHS campus on Monday (January 9th) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Baseball tryouts will be on Monday (January 23rd) at 3:00 pm for any boy interested in playing baseball. Additionally, there will be a mandatory parent meeting that same day at 7:00 pm. See Coach Roundtree if you have any questions.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
