January 11, 2023 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, January 11th:
Panthers, schedules for the 2nd semester will be distributed tomorrow. Make sure to look for your name on the published lists when you get to campus on Thursday morning and your 1st period teacher listed will have your new schedules.
There will be a ServSafe training tomorrow in Chef’s classroom right after school. Don’t be late!
Representatives from the US Marine Corps will be on the NHS campus on Monday (January 9th) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Baseball tryouts will be on Monday (January 23rd) at 3:00 pm for any boy interested in playing baseball. Additionally, there will be a mandatory parent meeting that same day at 7:00 pm. See Coach Roundtree if you have any questions.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
