January 17, 2023 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Tuesday, January 17th:
The girls’ basketball game tonight at Bronson Middle/High School has been canceled.
Tomorrow is the last day to submit any late or missing assignments for semester 1. Make sure to get everything turned in, Panthers!
PANTHERS, tickets for all NHS home sporting events will be sold at the entry gate of each game as well as online at https://gofan.co/app/school/FL17054 (children ages 4 and younger do not need a ticket). We will have a limited amount of change at each game, so please help us by having the exact ticket amount, if possible. Go Panthers!
Representatives from the US Marine Corps will be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Baseball tryouts will be on Monday (January 23rd) at 3:00 pm for any boy interested in playing baseball. Additionally, there will be a mandatory parent meeting that same day at 7:00 pm. See Coach Roundtree if you have any questions.
Seniors, don’t forget to order your cap and gown for graduation if you haven’t already done so! Order forms can be found in the NHS Front Office.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
