January 23, 2023 Announcements
It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Monday, January 23rd:
Today’s archery practice is canceled and practices will resume next week.
Join the Blue Crew tonight at the boys and girls basketball games for a “White Out” against the Williston Red Devils. We would like to fill up our student section and support our Panther basketball teams. So come on out and cheer them to victory!
Report Cards will be available for viewing in Skyward tomorrow for the 1st semester. If you are unable to access Skyward, please contact Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
There will be a meeting tomorrow for the Hope Squad during Lunch A and Lunch B in the NHS Auditorium. Make sure to stop by!
Representatives from the US Army will be on the NHS campus on Monday (January 23rd) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Representatives from SWI Photography will be on the NHS campus this Thursday (January 26th) to take photos for the yearbook in the following categories: Senior Year (2023), Senior Cars, Senior Superlatives, and all of the Club photos. Students will be pulled from class only as needed and announcements will be made for each group.
Show your Panther Pride with a photo booth picture during Lunch A and Lunch B on Friday (January 27th) sponsored by the yearbook class. Stop by the NHS Commons Area and snap some pics!
Panthers, don’t forget that Prom will be held on Saturday, April 1st, at the beautiful Granville Plantation. The "early bird" ticket price will be just $50.00 and tickets will go on sale this Monday (January 23rd). Ticket prices will increase in February, so don't wait too long! See Mrs. Kathi Thomas in the NHS Media Center to purchase your tickets. You must have your forms filled out and be off the debt list in order to buy tickets.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
