May 15, 2023 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Monday, May 15th:
Representatives from the US Army and Army National Guard are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Seniors, don’t forget that your final exams will be given on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Make sure to prepare so you can do your best!
Seniors who plan to qualify for a Bright Future Scholarship, if you have not turned in your community service hours or work hours, please do so as soon as possible. These hours must be turned in by the last day of school.
Seniors who qualify for the Florida Medallion Bright Future Scholarship award and plan to go to a state college after high school, will receive 100% of your tuition paid if you send your ACT scores to a university now. If you have any questions, please stop by the NHS Guidance Office.
Seniors must clean out lockers and remove their lock by Friday, May 19th. All other students must have their locks removed and cleaned out by Wednesday May 24th. Any lock left on a locker after that date will be cut off and any content left in lockers will be donated or disposed of.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
