September 13, 2023 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements Wednesday, September 13th:
After school CROP sessions will continue today and tomorrow in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Progress Reports will be available in Skyward tomorrow. If you are unable to view the Progress Report in Skyward, please contact the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
A recruiter from the US Air Force will be on the NHS campus tomorrow visiting with students by appointment only. Today is the last day to sign up in the NHS Guidance Office if you are interested in meeting with the recruiter. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
The FCA will have a meeting this Friday (September 15th) before school at 8:10 am in the NHS Gym. If you’d like to become involved, make sure to stop by!
Tickets for the Homecoming Dance are still available in limited quantity. Get yours before school in Mr. Marlowe’s classroom for $15.00. The Dance will be this Saturday (September 16th) to kick off this year’s Homecoming Week.
Tickets will begin to be issued for any student vehicle parked on campus without a Student Parking Decal. The cost for the annual parking pass is $30.00, which can be paid by cash or check (payable to Newberry High School). Please bring a copy of your driver’s license and vehicle registration with you to get your parking pass.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
