It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!

Here are the announcements Thursday, September 14th:
After school CROP sessions will continue today in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm. There are NO after school CROP sessions next week in light of Homecoming Week activities, but will resume during the week of September 25th. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Progress Reports are now available in Skyward. If you are unable to view the Progress Report in Skyward, please contact the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
The FCA will have a meeting this Friday (September 15th) before school at 8:10 am in the NHS Gym. If you’d like to become involved, make sure to stop by!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the US Air Force recruiter was not able to come out to the NHS campus today. The visit has been rescheduled for next Thursday (September 21st). Please continue to sign up in the NHS Guidance Office if you would like to schedule an appointment.
Tickets for the Homecoming Dance are still available in limited quantity. Get yours before school in Mr. Marlowe’s classroom for $15.00. The Dance will be this Saturday (September 16th) to kick off this year’s Homecoming Week.
Tickets are now being issued for any student vehicle parked on campus without a Student Parking Decal. The cost for the annual parking pass is $30.00, which can be paid by cash or check (payable to Newberry High School). Please bring a copy of your driver’s license and vehicle registration with you to get your parking pass.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Phones and Headphones: These must be off and out of sight during class, unless your teacher gives specific permission for use. Cell phones, earbuds, airpods, headphones, and other electronic devices are only permitted to be in use before and after school, and during lunch periods. Students who have any types of these devices out when not permitted may receive disciplinary action.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
