It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!

Here are the announcements for Monday, November 6th:
We want to congratulate our Varsity Volleyball team for a great season, finishing off at Class 1A Regional Champions! We are so proud of their accomplishments this year and know our Lady Panthers played their hearts out in every game!!
The Robotics Club will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Ms. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Wednesday (November 8th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested.
After school CROP sessions will continue this week every day through Thursday (November 9th) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
Panthers, please remember there will be no school this Friday (November 10th) as we observe Veterans Day in order to honor military veterans of the US Armed Forces. For those who have served to protect our country, we thank you for your service!
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be offered on the NHS campus during the school day on Wednesday (November 15th) to any student in 10th through 12th grade. This is an informative aptitude test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the military. Make sure to stop by the NHS Guidance Office to sign up if you are interested in taking the ASVAB Test. Remember, this test is only given once a year so don’t miss your chance to take it!
Our Annual PowderBuff tournament has been postponed until Friday (December 1st) in the NHS Gym. If you are interested in playing, please speak with your class representatives.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
