It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!

There will be a parent meeting for this year's basketball teams tonight at 6:30 pm in the NHS Auditorium. Please contact Coach Green (greenpt @gm.sbac.edu) if you have any questions.
The Robotics Club will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Ms. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Students, please remember that even though it is getting cooler outside blankets are not allowed at school. Also, you must still follow all dress code policies, including not wearing pajamas, slippers, or any type of head coverings. If you have any questions, please see Dean Burford or Dean Yarn.
If you are interested in playing boys’ Lacrosse this year, please make plans to attend the meeting after school on Wednesday (November 15th) right after school in the NHS Auditorium. If you have any questions, please see Coach Jackson.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be offered on the NHS campus during the school day on Wednesday (November 15th) to any student in 10th through 12th grade. This is an informative aptitude test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the military. Make sure to stop by the NHS Guidance Office to sign up if you are interested in taking the ASVAB Test. Remember, this test is only given once a year so don’t miss your chance to take it!
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Wednesday (November 15th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested.
Juniors and Seniors, don’t forget that representatives from Herff Jones will return to the NHS campus on Thursday (November 16th) and Friday (November 17th) in the NHS Commons Area during Lunch A and Lunch B to accept orders and deposits for class rings, caps and gowns, graduation announcements and memorabilia.

We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
