September 11, 2024 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, September 11th:
Panthers, don't forget to bring your laptop and charging cord to school EVERY DAY as most of the testing this year will be done on the laptops. Additionally, these laptops provide important access to digital textbooks and assist students in transitioning between classwork, testing, and homework. (If your laptop has stopped working or has other operational issues, please bring it so the NHS Site Tech, Mr. Phillips, can investigate and diagnose any issues.)
Parking is ONLY permitted in designated areas (junior and senior parking lots) and NO parking is allowed in any other areas on campus, including along the gym or the football field. If you park in any unauthorized area on the NHS campus, your vehicle is subject to being towed from the property.
At this time, the Annual Updates are open in Skyward Family Access for families and changes or updates will be permitted until September 30th. Parents, please take a moment to access your Skyward account in order to review/update your child’s information, emergency contacts, the Student Code of Conduct, the Consent for Health Services form, and more.

Panthers, your Student Government will host a Winter Formal dance this year in December in lieu of a Homecoming Dance. We will provide more information shortly.
We are committed to the success of ALL our students and want all our students to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
TODAY’S REMINDER:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders.
