It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Monday, October 14th:
IMPORTANT: For the safety and security of everyone on campus, please DO NOT open the entrance gate for anyone, even if you think you may know them. Students and visitors MUST ONLY be let into our campus by staff in the NHS Front Office. If you are asked to open the gate, please let them know that they must ring the bell to be buzzed in.
The grading window for the 1st nine weeks of the school year will close on Monday (October 21st). Please make sure you turn in any missing assignments and make up any missing tests for your classes. Report Cards will be available in Skyward on Thursday (October 24th).
After school CROP sessions will continue after school this week - today and Wednesday (October 16th) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Girls soccer tryouts will be held after school today and tomorrow at Oakview Middle School from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm.
Boys soccer tryouts will be held after school today, tomorrow, and Wednesday at the Easton Sports Complex from 3:30 pm until 5:30 pm.
The Sophomore SGA will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Mrs. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Spanish Club will hold a meeting after school tomorrow from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in Seňora Santiago’s classroom. Te esperamos!
The Freshmen SGA will meet before school on Wednesday (October 16th) at 8:00 am in the NHS Media Center.
The National Honor Society will meet on Wednesday (October 16th) before school at 8:10 am in Mrs. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Wednesday (October 16th). They will also have a table set up in the NHS Commons Area to answer any questions about their wonderful program. Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested.

TODAY’S REMINDER:
Phones and Headphones: These must be off and out of sight during class, unless your teacher gives specific permission for use. Cell phones, earbuds, airpods, headphones, and other electronic devices are only permitted to be in use before and after school, and during lunch periods. Students who have any types of these devices out when not permitted may receive disciplinary action.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult.
