It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Friday, November 15th:
Panthers, make sure to join in the fun with the NHS Blue Crew at tonight’s Varsity Football game vs. Palatka by participating in the theme…Minions!
The Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive ends next Wednesday (November 20th) and our goal is to feed 30 NHS families for the holiday. Please don’t forget to bring in your food drive items to help fill the boxes in your 1st period class. Each time your class fills a box, your teacher will get a leaf added to the leaderboard in the hallway by the NHS Front Office. The 1st period class that collects the most boxes will win a yummy, gourmet breakfast!
Seniors, there are only 20 guaranteed seats remaining for this year's Grad Bash at Universal Studios. If you are interested in participating in this once in a lifetime experience, make sure to see Mr. Marlowe in order to provide your deposit before all the guaranteed seats are taken!
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue next week (Monday through Thursday) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm. There are many remaining dates and it’s not too late to participate! If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
A representative from Neff Co will be on the NHS campus on Monday (November 18th) to speak with student athletes, provide Letterman Jacket fittings, and take jacket orders in the NHS Commons Area during Lunch A and Lunch B.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Monday (November 18th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested in this fantastic program. Our next grading period closes on Tuesday (November 19th) and Progress Reports will be available for viewing in Skyward next Thursday (November 21st). If you have any issues in viewing this grading report or are unable to access Skyward, please contact Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
The Sophomore SGA will meet before school on Tuesday (November 19th) at 8:00 am in Mrs. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus on Tuesday (November 19th) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Spanish Club will hold a meeting after school on Tuesday (November 19th) from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in Seňora Santiago’s classroom. Te esperamos!
The National Honor Society will hold its induction ceremony for the Class of 2027 on Tuesday (November 19th) in the NHS Auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm.

TODAY’S REMINDER:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult.
