It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Tuesday, November 19th:
REMINDER: NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, students may not have food dropped off or delivered to them at campus. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
The National Honor Society will hold its induction ceremony for the Class of 2027 tonight in the NHS Auditorium beginning at 6:00 pm.
The Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive ends TOMORROW and our goal is to feed 30 NHS families for the holiday. Please don’t forget to bring in your food drive items to help fill the boxes in your 1st period class. Each time your class fills a box, your teacher will get a leaf added to the leaderboard in the hallway by the NHS Front Office. The 1st period class that collects the most boxes will win a yummy, gourmet breakfast!
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue this week (today through Thursday) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm. There are many remaining dates and it’s not too late to participate! If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Seniors, there are only a few guaranteed seats remaining for this year's Grad Bash at Universal Studios. If you are interested in participating, make sure to see Mr. Marlowe in order to provide your deposit before all the guaranteed seats are taken!

We are committed to the success of ALL our students! Panthers, please remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
TODAY’S REMINDER:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
