It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 

Here are the announcements for Tuesday, March 4th:
REMINDER: NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, students may not have food dropped off or delivered to them at campus. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Tomorrow for National School Breakfast Week, our food staff will be serving everyone a delicious chicken croissan'wich, so make sure to stop by!
The National Honors Society is once again taking Crumbl cookie pre-orders through tomorrow. The cost is $6 per cookie and purchased cookies will be distributed on Thursday (March 6th) during 1st period classes.
Representatives from the US Army are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Freshmen SGA will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in the NHS Media Center.
The National Honor Society will meet tomorrow before school at 8:10 am in Mrs. Troy’s classroom.
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue this week (tomorrow and Thursday ONLY) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center tomorrow. Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested in this fantastic program. Visit their website for more information about this opportunity: https://www.sfcollege.edu/prepare/achieve/
The National Honor Society is once again working with the University of Florida Dance Marathon organization to help support the pediatric wing at UF Health. This year the dance will be held on Friday (March 7th) from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm in the NHS Gym. Tickets will be sold at the door. This is a great social event for students and will include games, line dancing, fundraising pushes, and more!!

TODAY’S REMINDER:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders.
