It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 

Here are the announcements for Thursday, March 6th:
REMINDER: ALL STUDENTS parking on NHS school property MUST have a parking decal and parking is ONLY permitted in designated areas (junior and senior parking lots). NO parking is allowed in any other areas on campus, including along the gym or the football field. If you park in any unauthorized area on the NHS campus, your vehicle is subject to being towed from the property.
Tomorrow for National School Breakfast Week, our food staff will be serving turkey sausage and pancakes, so make sure to stop by!
Final Senior Superlative voting will take place tomorrow morning during first period classes. Please make sure to bring your laptop, as all voting will be done electronically. There will be no make-up voting so don’t miss your chance to vote!
The National Honor Society is once again working with the University of Florida Dance Marathon organization to help support the pediatric wing at UF Health. This year the dance will be held tomorrow from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm in the NHS Gym. Tickets are $10.00 and will be sold at the door. This is a great social event for students and will include games, line dancing, fundraising pushes, and more!!
SWI Photography will be on the NHS campus on Monday (March 10th) to take pictures for the Senior Year, Senior Car, Senior Superlatives, and Club photos for the NHS 2024-25 Yearbook. Students will be released from classes only as needed on this day. Make sure to be practicing your BEST smiles!
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Monday (March 10th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested in this fantastic program. After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue next week (Monday through Thursday) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.

TODAY’S REMINDER:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders.
