It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 

Here are the announcements for Monday, March 24th:
We were excited to see all our Panthers back on campus this morning and hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Spring Break!
REMINDER: For the safety and security of everyone on campus, please DO NOT open the entrance gate for anyone, even if you think you may know them. Students and visitors MUST ONLY be let into our campus by staff in the NHS Front Office. If you are asked to open the gate, please let them know that they must ring the bell to be buzzed in.
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue this week (today through Thursday) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Lady Panthers, if you are interested in playing volleyball next year, Open Gym sessions will be held on Mondays and Thursdays starting today from 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm in the NHS Gym.
There will be Open Gym sessions for cheerleading every Monday and Thursday beginning today (March 24th) from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Parent meetings will be held on March 27th, April 3rd, and April 10th at 6:30 pm in the NHS Gym. Cheer tryouts for next year’s squad will be April 14th through April 18th in the NHS Gym. Come out and show off your spirit!
The Sophomore SGA will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Mrs. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Spanish Club will hold a meeting after school tomorrow from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in Seňora Santiago’s classroom. Te esperamos!
The Freshmen SGA will meet before school on Wednesday (March 26th) at 8:00 am in the NHS Media Center.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Wednesday (March 26th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested in this fantastic program. The NHS Book Club will hold a meeting after school on Wednesday (March 26th) from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm in Ms. Talkington’s classroom in the Science Building. All are welcome!
Santa Fe College is hosting a Job Fair on Tuesday (April 1st). Any seniors who are interested in attending, please see Mrs. Cheggeh in the NHS Guidance Office ASAP to sign up. Space is limited and will be determined on a first come, first serve basis. This field trip will include a stop at McDonald's for lunch.
Any students who are interested in performing during the upcoming Miss NHS Pageant (such as singing, dancing, or playing an instrument), must speak with Mrs. Kathi Thomas in the NHS Media Center ASAP.

TODAY’S REMINDER:
Phones and Headphones: These must be off and out of sight during class, unless your teacher gives specific permission for use. Cell phones, earbuds, airpods, headphones, and other electronic devices are only permitted to be in use before and after school, and during lunch periods. Students who have any types of these devices out when not permitted may receive disciplinary action.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult.
