March 27, 2025 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Thursday, March 27th:
IMPORTANT: In order to prepare for the upcoming testing sessions involving school issued laptops, we will participate in a Districtwide FAST Infrastructure Trial during tomorrow morning’s classes. Please make sure to bring your laptop and charging cord tomorrow so we can conduct an accurate test of the service in the morning.
REMINDER: ALL STUDENTS parking on NHS school property MUST have a parking decal and parking is ONLY permitted in designated areas (junior and senior parking lots). NO parking is allowed in any other areas on campus, including along the gym or the football field. If you park in any unauthorized area on the NHS campus, your vehicle is subject to being towed from the property.
Parents and Students, please remember that there is no school scheduled for Monday (March 31st) as there is a scheduled Teacher Workday to finalize our 3rd Quarter grades.
Congratulations to the NHS Student Body Government! Students in our SGA hosted the City of Newberry Mayoral Debate between Tim Marden and Joy Glanzer last night, and they did a fantastic job! If you missed out on watching the Debate, the video is posted on the City of Newberry's Youtube page (https://www.youtube.com/@cityofnewberry2151). Great job Panthers!
Today’s after school CROP session has been canceled.
There will be a mandatory meeting regarding the Junior Miss/Miss NHS Pageant before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in the NHS Media Center. Don’t be late!
The FCA will have a meeting tomorrow before school at 8:10 am in the NHS Gym. If you’d like to become involved, make sure to stop by!
Prom is quickly approaching (April 19th) so make sure to get your tickets soon. The cost is $65 per ticket, and they may be purchased before and after school in Mrs. Brady’s classroom.
We are committed to the success of ALL our students! Panthers, please remember the Panther Way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
TODAY’S REMINDER:
Phones and Headphones: These must be off and out of sight during class, unless your teacher gives specific permission for use. Cell phones, earbuds, airpods, headphones, and other electronic devices are only permitted to be in use before and after school, and during lunch periods. Students who have any types of these devices out when not permitted may receive disciplinary action.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
