It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Thursday, April 3rd:
REMINDER: ALL STUDENTS parking on NHS school property MUST have a parking decal and parking is ONLY permitted in designated areas (junior and senior parking lots). NO parking is allowed in any other areas on campus, including along the gym or the football field. If you park in any unauthorized area on the NHS campus, your vehicle is subject to being towed from the property.
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue after school today in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm. There are many remaining dates and it’s not too late to participate! If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Grad Bash participants, there will be a meeting during 1st period tomorrow morning in the NHS East TA to share important information about the upcoming Grad Bash on April 5th. Don’t miss this meeting!
There will be a Pre-Collegiate and NSBE meeting before school tomorrow in Ms. Harris’ classroom at 8:15am.
The Environmental Club will meet in Mrs. Spina’s classroom before school on Monday (April 7th) at 8:00 am. Come on out and help us save the planet!
Newberry Elementary School is looking for volunteers to work at this year's Spring Carnival. The Carnival will be held on Friday (April 11th) and they need volunteers beginning at 6:00 pm through 8:00 pm. If you are interested in earning volunteer hours, stop by the NHS Guidance Office to get additional information.
It’s time to elect your Student Government Association for 2025-26. Have you ever wanted to be involved and help run the student events on campus? Do you want to help make decisions? Here’s your chance. See Mr. Marlowe sometime this week to pick up your candidate packet. The forms will be due on Friday (April 11th) and the election will be Friday (April 18th). Don't wait, get started today!

TODAY’S REMINDER:
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
