It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 

Here are the announcements for Friday, April 4th:
Seniors, if you purchased a ticket to participate in Grad Bash at Universal Studios on Saturday (April 5th), please be at Newberry High School 𝐍𝐎 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝟑:𝟑𝟎 𝐏𝐌 𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐖 to ride the bus. Additionally, please arrange for transportation to leave the NHS campus 𝐍𝐎 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐍 𝟓:𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐌 𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 when the bus returns. Don’t be late!
The Environmental Club will meet in Mrs. Spina’s classroom before school on Monday (April 7th) at 8:00 am. Come on out and help us save the planet!
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Monday (April 7th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested in this fantastic program. After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue after school next week (Monday through Wednesday) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm. There are many remaining dates and it’s not too late to participate! If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Newberry Elementary School is looking for volunteers to work at this year's Spring Carnival. The Carnival will be held on Friday (April 11th) and they need volunteers beginning at 6:00 pm through 8:00 pm. If you are interested in earning volunteer hours, stop by the NHS Guidance Office to get additional information.
Report Cards for the 3rd nine weeks of this school year will be available in Skyward on Tuesday (April 8th).
The Sophomore SGA will meet before school on Tuesday (April 8th) at 8:00 am in Mrs. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus on Tuesday (April 8th) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Spanish Club will hold a meeting after school on Tuesday (April 8th) from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm in Seňora Santiago’s classroom. Te esperamos!
There will be a blood drive in partnership with LifeSouth Community Blood Center on Wednesday (April 9th) in the NHS Auditorium. Donors must be 16 or older, weigh at least 110 lbs., and show a photo ID in order to donate. Any 16-year old student who wishes to donate blood must have written parental consent. See Nurse Strickland if you have any questions or if you are interested in signing up to donate.
Seniors, there are still tickets available for the NHS Prom to be held on Saturday (April 19th) at Granville Plantation for $80.00 (payable by cash or check). See Mrs. Brady in her classroom before or after school to purchase your ticket and get ready to have a wonderful, magical, and memorable evening!
It’s time to elect your Student Government Association for 2025-26. Have you ever wanted to be involved and help run the student events on campus? Do you want to help make decisions? Here’s your chance. See Mr. Marlowe sometime this week to pick up your candidate packet. The forms will be due on Friday (April 11th), and the election will be Friday (April 18th). Don't wait, get started today!

Phones and Headphones: These must be off and out of sight during class, unless your teacher gives specific permission for use. Cell phones, earbuds, airpods, headphones, and other electronic devices are only permitted to be in use before and after school, and during lunch periods. Students who have any types of these devices out when not permitted may receive disciplinary action.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders.
