May 2, 2025 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Friday, May 2nd:
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will continue next week (Monday through Thursday) after school in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm. There are many remaining dates and it’s not too late to participate! If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Yearbooks are in! If you have not already purchased one, we only have a few extra Yearbooks available for $65.00 (cash only). Make sure to see Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office to get yours before they are all gone!
Progress Reports will be available in Skyward on Tuesday (May 6th). If you have any issues in viewing the report card or are unable to access Skyward, please contact Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
As we continue with end-of-year testing, make sure you are prepared by getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and getting to school on time! Please also minimize late check ins and early check outs to avoid causing disruptions to other students who are testing around campus.
Seniors, if you are interested in becoming a speaker or singer at the graduation commencement ceremony, start planning ahead as auditions will be held in the NHS Auditorium on Wednesday (May 14th) at 3:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you all then!
ACPS has partnered with Hazel Health, meaning your student can get high-quality telehealth care at no cost to your family. Students can get teletherapy at school or at home on any smartphone, tablet, or computer. All Hazel Health visits are safe and confidential. We hope you find these Daily Announcements a useful resource for the happenings at NHS. These posts are also shared on our NHS website (https://www.sbac.edu/newberryhigh) and remain available there for the entire school year. Don’t forget to visit the NHS Student Information Center (https://www.sbac.edu/domain/5439) for information regarding NHS activities and events, testing, and graduation requirements, as well as assistance with post-secondary plans.
