October 18, 2022 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Tuesday, October 18th:
Reminder to students that the after-school CROP sessions will resume this week in Ms. Burkett’s classroom. Don’t be late!
Girls weightlifting will be practicing Mondays through Thursdays immediately after school in the NHS Weightroom. Today’s practice is mandatory for any girl that wants to participate.
Tomorrow is Unity Day so make sure to wear orange to proudly show we stand together against bullying, and are united for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The Junior SGA will meet tomorrow morning before school at 8:00 am in Dr. Bolejack’s classroom.
The Robotics Club meets tomorrow after school at 3:00 pm in Dr. Bolejack’s classroom.
Panthers, please remember that as the weather begins to turn cooler outside, blankets are not allowed at school. Also, you must still follow all dress code policies, including not wearing pajamas, slippers, or any type of head coverings. Only appropriate warm-weather clothing is permitted to be worn on campus.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be given on the NHS campus during the school day on Tuesday (November 8th) to any student in 10th through 12th grade. This is an informative aptitude test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the military. Make sure to stop by the NHS Guidance Office to sign up if you are interested in taking the ASVAB Test. Remember, this test is only given once a year so don’t miss your chance to take it!
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
COVID-19 Guidelines: The wearing of masks is optional on the NHS campus. Please continue to wash your hands, practice social distancing, and don’t share any items.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day throughout the summer for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something ( “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
