October 19, 2022 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, October 19th:
Reminder to students that the after-school CROP sessions will resume this week in Ms. Burkett’s classroom. Don’t be late!
There will be a mandatory ServSafe training followed by a pre-test right after school tomorrow in the Culinary classroom. Don’t be late!
Panthers, please remember that as the weather begins to turn cooler outside, blankets are not permitted at school. Also, you must still follow all dress code policies, including not wearing pajamas, slippers, or any type of head coverings.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be given on the NHS campus during the school day on Tuesday (November 8th) to any student in 10th through 12th grade. This is an informative aptitude test used to determine qualification for enlistment in the military. Make sure to stop by the NHS Guidance Office to sign up if you are interested in taking the ASVAB Test. Remember, this test is only given once a year so don’t miss your chance to take it!
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day throughout the summer for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
