December 12, 2022 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Monday, December 12th:
Panthers, semester exams begin tomorrow with 1st period and 4th period exams. EVERY CLASS will administer a semester exam this week, so be prepared and on time! Please also minimize late check ins and early check outs to avoid the disruptions to classes. Remember that semester exams can count toward a significant portion of the semester grades.
Tickets for all NHS home sporting events will be sold at the entry gate of each game as well as online at https://gofan.co/app/school/FL17054 (children ages 4 and younger do not need a ticket). We will have a limited amount of change at each game, so please help us by having the exact ticket amount, if possible. Go Panthers!
Representatives from the US Army will be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Seniors, don’t forget to order your cap and gown for graduation if you haven’t already done so! Order forms can be found in the NHS Front Office. Prices will increase after Thursday (December 15th), so make sure to order soon!
There will be a meeting at 5:30 pm on Thursday (December 15th) for girls’ lacrosse in Mr. Birrenkott’s classroom. Parents are welcome to attend!
Seniors, ads for the 2022-23 yearbook are now on sale. The deadline to purchase is Thursday (December 15th). Information can be found on the NHS website or you can see Ms. Gennaro for more information.
We still have ECF Chromebook laptops available for distribution to any NHS student. These laptops are equipped with 4G LTE, which will allow school-based internet access for homework and school projects. If you are interested in obtaining a laptop for your child, please contact Ms. Steele (steelesd@gm.sbac.edu) in the NHS Media Center as soon as possible.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
