February 13, 2023 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Monday, February 13th:
Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day! Please remember that flowers, balloons, food, or other items may not be delivered or brought to the Newberry High School campus. Please make other arrangements for your sweetheart, friend, or child on that day.
We still have ECF Chromebook laptops available for distribution to any NHS student. These laptops are equipped with 4G LTE, which will allow school-based internet access for homework and school projects. If you are interested in obtaining a laptop for your child, please contact Ms. Steele (steelesd@gm.sbac.edu) in the NHS Media Center as soon as possible.
Any students who want to join the NHS Track Team must be at the NHS Track today through Thursday (February 16th) at 3:15 pm until 5:30 pm. See Coach Hughes if you have any questions.
There will be rehearsals for the Miss NHS/Miss Junior NHS Pageant after school today through Thursday (February 16th) at 3:00 pm in the NHS Auditorium. Don’t be late!
The Junior SGA will meet on Wednesday (February 15th) morning before school at 8:00 am in the NHS Media Center.
The Senior SGA will meet on Wednesday (February 15th) morning before school at 8:00 am in Mr. Marlowe’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps will be on the NHS campus on Wednesday (February 15th) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Robotics Club meets Wednesday (February 15th) after school at 3:00 pm in Mr. Truesdell’s classroom.
Progress Reports will be available in Skyward on Thursday (February 16th). If you are unable to view the Progress Report in Skyward, please contact the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
