October 25, 2023 Announcements
It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther!
Here are the announcements for Wednesday, October 25th:
After school CROP sessions will continue this week today through Thursday (October 26th). If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office.
NHS Yearbooks are now on sale for $55.00. After February 1, 2024, the price of the Yearbooks will increase to $65.00, so don't wait to get yours! You can place your order for a Yearbook at https://sites.google.com/gm.sbac.../nhsyearbook20232024/home. This website has information (including important deadlines) for the Class of 2024, Newberry staff, Student Government, Clubs, and special projects for the Yearbook and is constantly being updated, so please make sure to check back often.
CLASS OF 2024: Senior Yearbook Ads are now on sale. Space is very limited so if you are interested in purchasing an ad for your graduating student, please visit the SWI Photographer website at http://www.swiphoto.com/yb as soon as possible. All designs, photos, and special messages for the senior ads must be completed on the SWI Photographers' website.
Congratulations to Hunter Ives on his Top 10 finish yesterday at the Boys’ Golf District Tournament. His 8th place finish qualifies him to compete in the Regional tournament next week and he is the first NHS golfer to do so since 2018. Good luck next week, Hunter!
The Robotics Club will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Ms. Troy’s classroom.
The FCA will have a meeting this Friday (October 27th) before school at 8:10 am in the NHS Gym. If you’d like to become involved, make sure to stop by!
We want to remind everyone that costumes are not permitted to be worn on Tuesday (October 31st). Despite that day being the Halloween holiday, all students must comply with dress code requirements. Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting.
SWI Photographers will return to the NHS campus for picture make up day and retakes for 9th through 11th graders on Tuesday (October 31st). If you haven’t taken your picture yet this year OR you want to retake your picture (prior original photos must be returned that day), this is your last chance.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Dress Code: Make sure your school attire is appropriate and not distracting. You may not wear baggy/saggy pants and bottoms will not be shorter than “mid thigh”. Tops must cover the midriff, back, and sides of the body at all times. You may not wear bedroom slippers or shoes with wheels. Head coverings of any kind are not permitted to be worn inside. Failure to follow the dress code guidelines may result in lunch detention.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
