It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Monday, January 22nd:
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
The Robotics Club will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Ms. Troy’s classroom.
Report Cards for the first semester will be available for viewing in Skyward on Tuesday (January 23rd). If you have any issues in viewing the report card or are unable to access Skyward, please contact Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office for assistance.
Please join us in the NHS Auditorium tomorrow at 6:00 pm for the ACPS focus group to discuss important issues regarding attendance, behavior, and core curriculum.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Wednesday (January 24th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested.
NHS Yearbooks are now on sale for $55.00. After February 1, 2024, the price of the Yearbooks will increase to $65.00, so don't wait to get yours! You can place your order for a Yearbook at https://sites.google.com/gm.sbac.../nhsyearbook20232024/home.
Seniors don’t forget to order your caps and gowns for graduation. Prices are expected to increase soon so don’t wait! Order forms are available in the NHS Front Office or online at www.HerffJones.com.
Students, please remember that even though it is getting cooler outside blankets are not allowed at school. Also, you must still follow all dress code policies, including not wearing pajamas, slippers, or any type of head coverings. If you have any questions, please see Dean Burford or Dean Yarn.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
