WELCOME BACK PANTHERS! It was great to see so many new and old faces around campus. We had a great day and know we will have an amazing year!

“Make Up” tryouts will be today after school at 3:00 pm in the NHS Gym for any Lady Panthers interested in playing volleyball this year. You must have a current physical on file in order to participate. Please see Mrs. Walker in the NHS Front Office if you have any questions.

There will be a brief meeting for any students interested in participating in cross country this year right after school on Tuesday (August 13th) in Mr. Birrenkott’s classroom.

There will be a meeting before school in the Dean’s office on Wednesday (August 14th) at 8:15 am for any boy interested in playing golf this year. Please see Mr. Burford if you have any questions.

Preseason workouts will begin after school on Tuesday (August 20th) for any girls interested in becoming a Lady Panther basketball player. Please remember you must have a current physical on file in order to participate. Please see Coach Roundtree if you have any questions.

If you have already purchased the 2023-24 NHS Yearbook, make sure to stop by the Guidance Office and see Mrs. Honeycutt to pick it up. We also have a very limited number of Yearbooks for sale. The cost is $65.00 (cash only) and can be purchased, first come first serve, from Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office.

We encourage all of our students to visit the NHS Student Information Center (https://www.sbac.edu/domain/5439) during the summer for updates about the upcoming school year, as well as information regarding NHS activities and events, testing, and graduation requirements, as well as assistance with post-secondary plans.

TODAY’S REMINDER:

Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.

Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult.
