It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Thursday, December 5th:
REMINDER: ALL STUDENTS parking on NHS school property MUST have a parking decal and parking is ONLY permitted in designated areas (junior and senior parking lots). NO parking is allowed in any other areas on campus, including along the gym or the football field. If you park in any unauthorized area on the NHS campus, your vehicle is subject to being towed from the property.
After school CROP sessions for students who are credit deficient for graduation will be held today in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 6:15 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
The FCA will have a meeting before school tomorrow morning at 8:10 am in the NHS Gym. If you’d like to become involved, make sure to stop by!
Students, please remember that even though it is getting cooler outside blankets are not allowed at school. Also, you must still follow all dress code policies, including not wearing pajamas, slippers, or any type of head coverings. If you have any questions, please see Dean Burford or Dean Hines.
Panthers, if you are in search of volunteer opportunities the Suwannee Valley Kennel Club of Florida is still seeking volunteers for the annual Dog Show on Saturday (December 7th). The show will be 8:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Alachua County Agriculture and Equestrian Center in Newberry. Stop by the NHS Guidance Office for more information. Also, see Mrs. Ross in the NHS Guidance Office for other opportunities.

We are committed to the success of ALL our students! Panthers, please remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
TODAY’S REMINDER:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
