Here are the announcements for Wednesday, February 12th:
We know that Valentine’s Day is this Friday; however, please remember that flowers, balloons, food, or other items may not be delivered or brought to the Newberry High School campus. Please make other arrangements for your sweetheart, friend, or child on that day.
REMINDER: Panthers, don't forget to bring your laptop and charging cord to school EVERY DAY as most of the testing this year will be done on the laptops. Additionally, these laptops provide important access to digital textbooks and assist students in transitioning between classwork, testing, and homework. (If your laptop has stopped working or has other operational issues, please bring it so the NHS Site Tech, Mr. Phillips, can investigate and diagnose any issues.)
DON’T FORGET we WILL have school on Friday (February 14th) as the final makeup day for school closures due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

February is Black History Month. Each day we will be showcasing notable Black inventors and/or African Americans who have made significant contributions in various fields. Dr. Patricia Bath, an Ophthalmologist and inventor of the Laserphaco Probe for cataract surgery, improving eye care.
We are committed to the success of ALL our students! Panthers, please remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
TODAY’S REMINDER:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
