Curriculum Overview

  • Middle school children learn important skills and knowledge through direct instruction from their teachers, collaboration with peers, opportunities for problem-solving, and independent mastery. Instructional technology, with one-to-one (student to device) is used to engage students in critical thinking, research using approved resources, and communication of their ideas. Students develop concepts and knowledge in the following areas:

    • Mathematics

    • English Language Arts

    • Science

    • Social Studies (American History, Civics, World History)

    • Agricultural Science, Music

    • Physical Education and Health

    For students in the magnet program, we have additional courses in biomedical science (forensic science, prothesis and robotics).
