Student Attendance Monitoring and Enforcement Checklist Habitual Truant = A student who has 15 or more unexcused absences within 90 calendar days(all days including non school days) with or without the knowledge or consent of the student’s parent or guardian, and who is subject to compulsory school attendance. (Section 1003.01(8), F.S.). This includes any student who will be six(6) years of age by February 1st of the upcoming school year. (Section 1003.21)
