Santa Fe College Counselor in Training (CIT) Program

Once again Santa Fe College will be offering the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program for our upcoming College for Kids (CFK) 2024 summer camp. The CIT program is designed to help motivated rising 10th through 12th grade high school students receive leadership training and earn service hours while assisting with College for Kids (CFK), a summer program for middle school students. This experience gives participants an understanding of commitment and the need for positive relationships with peers and adults as it correlates to teamwork.
CIT participants must commit to a minimum of 2 weeks of camp (out of 3), which are July 8-July 12, July 15-July 19 and July 22-26. Camp will meet daily, Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. The cost is $40 per week, which includes 3 camp shirts. Interested students must submit an application between April 1st thru May 10, 2024.
If selected for the CIT Leadership Program, you must participate in a mandatory training program on June 7, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm. This training will include team building, conflict resolution, other leadership skills, safety, and College for Kids (CFK) policies.
