March 18, 2024 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Monday, March 18th:
We were excited to welcome our Panthers back to the NHS campus today after Spring Break! Unbelievably, there are only 43 school days left in this school year and we know this time will just fly by!
After school CROP sessions will continue this week today through Thursday (March 21st) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
The Robotics Club will meet before school tomorrow at 8:00 am in Ms. Troy’s classroom.
Representatives from the US Marine Corps are scheduled to be on the NHS campus tomorrow during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Wednesday (March 20th). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested.
Hope Squad will meet on Wednesday (March 20th) during Lunch A and Lunch B in the NHS Auditorium. Get your lunches and head on in!
NHS Yearbooks are still on sale for $65.00, don't wait to get yours! You can place your order for a Yearbook at https://sites.google.com/gm.sbac.../nhsyearbook20232024/home or with Mrs. Honeycutt in the NHS Guidance Office.
Prom is quickly approaching (April 27th) so get your tickets soon. You must have a prom form completed and be cleared from the debt list to purchase your ticket. Forms can be found in the NHS Front Office and tickets can be purchased from Mr. Marlowe in his classroom.
Panthers, it’s time to request elective courses for next year. Emails were sent home before Spring Break with a link to the Google Form. Please make sure to complete and submit this form no later than FRIDAY, MARCH 29, 2024. If you have any questions, speak with your guidance counselor.
Class of 2024, there is still time to order your Senior Ad for this year’s yearbook! Prices start as low as $35.00 for a 1/4 page.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Tardies: Tardies impact school success and student behavior, are a distraction to all students, and cause a disruption in teaching. Make sure you’re on time every day, to every class. Excessive tardies may result in lunch detention or ISD.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
