March 28, 2024 Announcements

It’s a great day to be a Newberry Panther! 🐾
Here are the announcements for Thursday, March 28th:
Panthers, please remember there is no school tomorrow, which is a Teacher Workday. Stay safe and enjoy your three-day weekend!
After school CROP sessions will continue next week Monday (April 1st) through Thursday (April 4th) in Ms. Burkett’s classroom from 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact the NHS Guidance Office ASAP.
Representatives from the US Army National Guard are scheduled to be on the NHS campus on Monday (April 1st) during Lunch A and Lunch B to provide information about military service after graduation. Make sure to stop by if you’d like to receive information.
Representatives from the Santa Fe Achieve Program will be back in the NHS Media Center on Monday (April 1st). Make sure to stop by and get more information if you are interested.
Seniors, are you unsure what your next step is after graduation? There will be a job fair in Gainesville on Thursday (April 25th) from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm. Transportation will be provided from NHS. See Mrs. Cheggeh in the NHS Guidance Office for more information.
We hope you find these Daily Announcements a useful resource for the happenings at NHS. These posts are also shared on our NHS website (https://www.sbac.edu/newberryhigh) and remain available there for the entire school year. Don’t forget to visit the NHS Student Information Center (https://www.sbac.edu/domain/5439) for information regarding NHS activities and events, testing, and graduation requirements, as well as assistance with post-secondary plans.
We want all our Panthers to remember the Panther way to Success:
*Be Reliable - Maintain consistency with what you say and do
*Be Respectful - Show consideration of someone or something
*Be Responsible - Be dependable, keep promises, and honor commitments
Today’s Reminder:
Food and Drinks: There should be no food or drinks in the buildings which are from outside campus. NHS is a closed campus and students are not permitted to leave campus for lunch. Additionally, you may not have food dropped off or delivered to you. Students are not allowed to bring Polar Cups or “to go” cups to campus. Water bottles are encouraged and we have several bottle filling stations around campus.
Students, please remember to check your school email accounts every day for important announcements and reminders. Remember, if you are having trouble or have questions about anything at all, turn to an adult. And please, if you see something, say something (www.getfortifyfl.com). “Always remember, Shepp loves the kids!”
