About Alachua eSchool
Alachua eSchool started in 2012 with virtual courses for 6th – 12th graders. An elementary program for grades kindergarten - 5th grade was added during the 2013-2014 school year. Students in Alachua eSchool are considered part of our local school district and work with Alachua County teachers who are highly qualified in their subject area. In addition to online support, Alachua eSchool teachers meet in-person with students in the brick and mortar virtual labs. Alachua eSchool partners with FLVS for secondary courses and uses the district-adopted curriculum in CANVAS for elementary classes.
Alachua eSchool provides a rigorous program for students. We use a virtual asynchronous (flexible student-led schedule) versus a virtual synchronous (daily teacher-led schedule) approach to learning. We welcome you to inquire more about our program and get first-hand information on whether Alachua eSchool will best meet your child's educational needs. If you have any other questions or would like to make an appointment, please call the Alachua eSchool office at (352) 955-7584.
