Welcome students and parents! We are excited and ready for a great year in EDEP!  At Rawlings our number one goal is to keep your children safe as we offer them enrichment with free choice.  Kids are happiest if they are choosing the activities that interest them.

 

Program Information

  • EDEP Weekly Fees

    • Full Rate: First Child $48.00
      Each additional Sibling $42
      (At the same location)

      Scholarship Rate III: First Child $32.00
      Each additional Sibling $28
      (At the same location)

      Scholarship Rate II: First Child $20.00
      Each additional Sibling $17
      (At the same location)

       Scholarships are available based on household income. The parent must complete an application and income verification to determine the proper fees to be charged. Until this form is processed everyone will pay the full rate.

    Late fees will be charged beginning at 6:05 at a rate of $15.00 per child for every 15 minutes you are late. Three late pick ups will result in dismissal from the program.

    CHANGE IN ATTENDANCE:  As stated in our parent handbook, if your child has a change in their afternoon schedule and will not be attending EDEP, please contact EDEP directly by email by 2 pm.  Failure to notify EDEP staff of your child's absence 3 times, will result in dismissal from the program. Thank you for your help with this matter.  Our #1 priority is making sure your child is kept safe.

    *PAYMENT POLICY:* Payments are due in ADVANCE every Friday. You may pay the account as far in advance as you'd like. Payments may be paid by cash, money order or check.  Please make checks payable to EDEP and include your phone number and child’s name on the check.

Homework

  • Homework time is scheduled each day with the exception of Fridays. It is very difficult to determine when some children have homework. Therefore, you may wish to discuss with your child the procedure you would like to be observed concerning homework.  The EDEP staff is available to answer questions during this time. However, one-on-one tutoring is not available. Please encourage your child to work on homework during the scheduled time. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of the parent to check homework for completion and accuracy.  If you have questions or concerns about your child’s homework please feel free to speak to Ms. Christie.

    EDEP Registration Information:

    To enroll your child please pick up an EDEP registration card at your school, fill it out, return it with a nonrefundable $25 registration fee. The first week fees are due before your child begins.

Weekly Themes

  • At Rawlings we strive to plan activities that will add to your children's learning but at the same time have fun!

    August - Making Friends!  We will focus many of our activities to help the children learn to develop friendships, cooperate with each other, appreciate and respect each other.  We will help students learn the EDEP rules and the structure of our program.   We will also be exploring the continent or Asia, and visiting the Wild West! 

    Our special events for August are: Popsicles and Popcorn on Friday, 8/17 and a Wild West Hoe Down on Friday, 8/31.

    September - Your children will learn about different Occupations and they will also be starting a fall garden during our Farm Days.  We will also having fun being Pirates and learning about the different cultures of Native Americans.

    Our special event for September is: A Pirtate Party on Friday, 9/21.

    October - Children will discover many of the differnt kinds of Wild Animals and visit Africa and Ancient Egypt.  We will learn about our U.S. History, examine Reptiles and Amphibians and then have fun with Halloween and celebrate the Gators for UF Homecoming.

    Our special events for October are:  A Fall Festival on Wednesday, 10/31 and Gator Spirit Day on Thursday, 11/1.

Upcoming Events

  • Field Trip in September

    Parents, be looking for your child's field trip form.  We are going to Bouncers for two hours of fun!  The cost for the field trip is $7.00 per child.  Please sign the form and return to Ms. Christie along with $7.00 in cash.  The cash for this field trip is separate from your regular fees.  Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
