• The Newberry High School Student Government Association's (SGA) purpose is to develop leadership and citizenship, maintain and establish a high moral standard, insure a spirit of democracy, create a respect and ambition for higher scholastic attainments, and to encourage cooperation and participation of students in all school activities. The representatives of the SGA are "voices" of the students at NHS and we work each day to promote unity, a sense of mutual respect, and an appreciation for the diversity of the Newberry student community.
