Mrs. Jennifer Clarizio

Mrs. Clarizio, our BRT, has been a teacher for over two decades. Her primary responsibility is to provide support to students and teachers. Our goal at Hidden Oak is to create a positive and safe learning environment so that each student can reach his/her maximum potential.

What does a Behavior Resource Teacher do?

Works to improve school-wide behavior to maximize instructional time

  • Supports teachers through behavior intervention and positive discipline strategies
  • Provides tools for students to learn pro-social behaviors such as empathy, impulse control, and anger management
  • Teaches students to be responsible for their own behavior

How can you help your child?

Practice consistent routines and establish clear rules at home which will carry over to school (i.e. waiting your turn, listening while others speak, making good choices even when no one else is watching, etc.)

  • Teach age appropriate independence and responsibility

The behavior guidelines utilized by our school can be found in the Elementary Code of Student Conduct found on the Alachua County Public School website.

School-wide Expectations

  • Hidden Oak Owl Expectations

School-wide Recognition

  • Positive Referrals - "I got caught doing something brag-worthy!"

To reward exemplary behavior, Hidden Oak has the "I Got Caught" program.

Students getting caught doing an act above and beyond expectations can be awarded a positive referral. This earns the student a certificate displayed on the "Everyday Heroes" bulletin board, a gift certificate, and a special sticker. The positive referral will also be announced on the Good Morning Hidden Oak show.

    Grade-Level Weekly Recognition

Every week a student from each class, who has been a "WISE" owl is chosen to be a student of the week. You can find pictures of these students in classrooms and hallways! We love recognizing those students making great choices.

Owls LOVE Hoot Loot!

  • Students can earn IT!

    Hoot Loot

Hidden Oak students love to earn Hoot Loot. When a student is seen doing the right thing, helping others without being asked, following the WISE expectations, they can earn LOOT! Opportunities to spend their loot on privileges, items offered by their teacher, items in our school store, as well as monthly PBIS school-wide incentives.
